BIOGRAPHY

As a disabled visual communicator, I am inspired by the cuter, softer sides of life, drawing from my special interests to help bring life to my ideas. I am also inspired by history and how it impacts our day-to-day life.  Due to my disabilities, I see life a little differently and can bring new ideas and perspectives because of this.

How I create starts with mind mapping. What can I create? How can I create it? I then move onto researching my idea. What can I draw from? Every good idea needs to have extensive research behind it. To have a conversation with the audience, you need to know how to communicate. From here I can begin to sketch and plan the outcome.

In my professional practice, I draw on skills from illustration and printmaking, however, in my own time I use mixed mediums to create personal pieces. Using all these skills I have learnt, I aim to create a dialogue between the audience and the creator. If I have been successful in my practice, a lasting impression on the audience will be left, not all communication needs words just imagery.
